14 (random) things I'm loving this spring season (fresh + cleansing)
The start of the spring season invites us to start getting outside more, cleansing our lives and our spaces to clear space and invite in the new, and focusing on what’s important to us.
So, with those intentions in mind I’ve curated a list of 12 (random) things I’m loving this season.
ways to start your day
I used to love writing posts with ideal schedules; an ideal morning routine, an ideal evening routine, etc., but I’ve realized more that a concrete schedule is unrealistic.
Every day is different - your energy levels, mood, what you feel or don’t feel like doing, and what your schedule looks like. So, I’ve started blocking off my morning and then leaning into what I feel like doing in the moment! Here are a few examples for inspiration.
banana walnut pancakes (plant-based)
Slow Saturday mornings have become really important to me — sipping my coffee while reading, attending a (virtual) morning yoga class, going to the gym or doing an at-home workout, and then making pancakes and a green juice or smoothie.
So, I’ve been experimenting with some pancake recipes that are both healthy(ish) and delicious!
winter berry smoothie (plant-based)
In this recipe we use a mix of greens and berries to give a range of nutrients, we use frozen ingredients because fresh berries and bananas likely aren’t available where you are in winter months, and include the warming properties of cinnamon to help give our bodies the support they’re craving.
Plus, adding the healthy fats and protein powder, while optional, will help to fill us up and provide our bodies with additional warmth.
